Many imaging studies can be performed without sedation and are non-invasive, meaning your pet experiences no pain or discomfort.
There are some procedures, however, that will require your pet to be anesthetized for their safety and the ability to capture the best images quickly, reducing exposure, while enhancing quality. Your pet is carefully monitored at all times and can usually be done on an out-patient basis.
